We are seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Executive Team as Chief Education Officer (CEdO). The educational landscape continues to evolve at pace, with more schools converting to academies and increasing consolidation across trusts. As Bourne Education Trust grows in scale, diversity and ambition, ensuring consistently high-quality education, strong inclusion and excellent outcomes for every pupil becomes an ever more important strategic priority.
The Chief Education Officer will lead on the quality, coherence and impact of education across the Trust. They will ensure all schools are supported by a clear, evidence-informed educational vision, underpinned by strong pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and inclusive practice. The role brings together school improvement, safeguarding, wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement into a single, aligned portfolio, with a clear focus on improving outcomes for all pupils.
As a member of the Executive Team, the CEdO will work closely with colleagues across the Trust to ensure educational excellence, equity and a strong sense of belonging are consistently delivered. In appointing this role, we are seeking an experienced senior education leader with a strong track record of impact across multiple schools or contexts. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of effective school improvement and a genuine commitment to making a difference.

- The ability to inspire confidence and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree and postgraduate qualification.
- NPQEL or equivalent leadership qualification.
