We are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at the Southcote Centre (part of Philip Southcote School), based at Epsom and Ewell High School, within the Bourne Education Trust. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) is responsible for providing highly effective, targeted provision and care to pupils, under the guidance of Teachers and Senior Leaders, in order to raise standards of achievement for pupils to become independent learners.

Position Details:
- Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
- Location: Southcote Centre, Epsom and Ewell High School, Ruxley Lane, West Ewell, Ewell, Surrey
- Contract: Term time, permanent
- Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00-15:30, 37 weeks per year
- Salary: FTE £31,658 / Actual £25,121 (35 hrs / 37 weeks)

Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a team, under the direction of the responsible Teacher, supporting teaching provision, development and implementation of learning for pupils.
- Under the guidance of the responsible Teacher, facilitate the learning of individual pupils and groups, setting high expectations and promoting positive attitudes to learning.
- Prepare, plan and deliver specific intervention programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil response and need.
Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent appropriate qualification) and Higher Level Teaching Assistant Qualification, or willingness to undertake qualification.
