Working at a busy rural practice we have a vacancy for a Dispenser. You will work as part of a team to provide a caring, courteous and effective dispensing service to patients and other service users. Main duties of the job:
- You will assist in the preparation, dispensing and sale of prescriptions and assist with stock control, ordering and re-stocking of the dispensary.
- Working with the Dispensary Manager you will ensure the smooth running of the dispensary.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure the formulary is being adhered to and support the Dispensary Manager in implementing change.
- As needed train and support colleagues to maintain high standards of care.
- Accurate and secure dispensing of medicines, ensuring zero discrepancies.
- Manage stock levels in the dispensary.
- In conjunction with other team members, the post-holder will be prepared to cover the work of colleagues when they are absent through annual leave or illness.
