We are looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children in Early Years and both KS1 and KS2.

Role Requirements

  • Enjoys working 1-1 with children with additional needs, particularly those with ADHD/ASD as well as working with groups of children
  • Is calm, sensitive and understanding
  • Has an optimistic, creative, problem‑solving approach
  • Has an ability to build effective working relationships with pupils and adults
  • Is committed to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school
  • Has a proven ability to lead whole class sessions when needed

Bourn Primary Academy is a one form entry Church of England School in a lovely rural setting. The children are lovely, the staff are friendly and the parents are supportive. This is a Part Time, Permanent contract, 8.30 am to 12 pm, 10.5 hours per week working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, term time only. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to fulfil a contract for 3 hours per week as a Midday Supervisor (term time only).

Salary scale:

  • TA post – Level 2, Point 5-6 (£25,583 – £25,989 FTE, pro‑rata) depending upon experience
  • Midday Supervisor post – Level 1a, Point 3 (£24,796 FTE, pro‑rata)
