The Opportunity

This is a senior Client Partner role sitting at the centre of client leadership, commercial growth, and strategic delivery. It’s a newly created position driven by agency growth, with responsibility for some of the agency’s most important client relationships. You’ll be leading from the front - setting the standard for client service, driving media and communications strategy, and ensuring the team delivers both the fundamentals and more ambitious, standout work. The role blends hands-on client leadership with commercial ownership. You’ll be expected to operate at a senior level with clients, while also shaping how accounts are run internally and pushing the quality of thinking and output across media planning, buying and activation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Relationship Management
    • Act as the primary senior point of contact for key and strategic client accounts
    • Build trusted, long-term partnerships by deeply understanding clients’ businesses, categories and objectives
    • Lead regular senior-level conversations around business performance, media strategy, marketing roadmaps and commercial growth
    • Lead senior client meetings, performance reviews and strategic planning sessions
    • Oversee onboarding, transitions and ongoing service quality
    • Manage escalations and resolve issues before they damage the relationship
    • Drive high levels of client satisfaction and long-term partnership value
    • Present media plans, recommendations and investment strategies to clients
    • Build strong relationships with media owners to deliver the best value and outcomes
  • Commercial Ownership & Growth
    • Take accountability for account revenue, retention and growth targets
    • Develop and execute clear strategic account plans to drive long-term value
    • Identify and lead upsell and cross-sell opportunities across media channels and agency capabilities
    • Support Managing Partner on contract renewals, scope development and commercial negotiations
  • Internal Leadership & Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional teams across planning, buying and activation to deliver joined-up, high-quality work
    • Ensure clear accountability across disciplines, especially on multi-channel accounts
    • Act as the “voice of the client” internally while balancing agency priorities
    • Set the standard for Account Directors and the wider team, raising the bar on client service and output
    • Delegate effectively to support team development and progression
    • Lead new business pitches
    • Collaborate across the agency to support growth
    • Contribute to team discussions and idea sharing
    • Embody the agency’s brand, vision and values
    • Share knowledge to support team development
  • Delivery
    • Own account revenue targets, retention and growth
    • Translate client business objectives into media and communications strategy across channels
    • Provide strategic counsel, not just executional delivery
    • Ensure work is delivered within agreed commercial frameworks
    • Oversee activation output to ensure accuracy and quality
    • Deliver campaign analysis and competitive reporting
    • Stay up to date with industry developments and identify opportunities
    • Maintain strong operational standards and processes

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a senior, client-facing media agency role (e.g. Account Director, Business Director, Client Lead)
  • Proven track record of growing and retaining client accounts
  • Strong understanding of media planning, buying and activation, and the wider ecosystem
  • Confident operating at senior client level
  • Strong commercial acumen, comfortable owning revenue and growth targets
  • Clear communicator with strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • Deep knowledge of media planning and buying across channels
  • Experience delivering campaigns for challenger brands
  • Strong understanding of how media strategy drives business outcomes
  • Experience building strong relationships with clients, media owners and internal teams
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
