Role Overview
As a Till Manager, you will lead the front-end operation and play a key role in delivering an efficient, friendly and professional checkout experience. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the till area, support and coach the till team, and ensure high standards of service, accuracy and presentation are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the till team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the till area and ensure smooth front-end trading.
- Monitor customer flow and manage queues effectively during busy periods.
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, including cash and card payments.
- Take responsibility for till balancing, cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Support with training, coaching and development of till colleagues.
- Handle customer queries and escalations in a professional and helpful manner.
- Maintain a tidy, organised and welcoming checkout area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures and health and safety standards.
- Work closely with store management and other departments to support the wider store operation.
