As a Till Manager, you will lead the front‑end operation and play a key role in delivering an efficient, friendly and professional checkout experience. You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of the till area, support and coach the till team, and ensure high standards of service, accuracy and presentation are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Lead, support and motivate the till team to deliver excellent customer service.
- Oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the till area and ensure smooth front‑end trading.
- Monitor customer flow and manage queues effectively during busy periods.
- Ensure all transactions are processed accurately, including cash and card payments.
- Take responsibility for till balancing, cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
- Support with training, coaching and development of till colleagues.
- Handle customer queries and escalations in a professional and helpful manner.
- Maintain a tidy, organised and welcoming checkout area.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security procedures and health and safety standards.
- Work closely with store management and other departments to support the wider store operation.
Qualifications
