Hours: 10 hours per week, working weekends

We’re looking for a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team and help us minimise theft and loss across the store.
Role Overview:
As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the store by preventing theft, deterring suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations will be essential to maintaining a safe shopping environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the shop floor, stockrooms, and other areas to identify potential security risks.
- Detect, deter, and report theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular patrols of the store and ensure all security measures are in place.
- Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents effectively.
- Liaise with store management, staff, and external authorities when necessary.
- Assist with staff training on loss prevention procedures.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a security or loss prevention role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- A proactive and confident approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and basic security protocols is an advantage.
