Hours: 10 hours per week, working weekends

Role Overview:

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the store by preventing theft, deterring suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations will be essential to maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the shop floor, stockrooms, and other areas to identify potential security risks.
  • Detect, deter, and report theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the store and ensure all security measures are in place.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents effectively.
  • Liaise with store management, staff, and external authorities when necessary.
  • Assist with staff training on loss prevention procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a security or loss prevention role is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
