Role Overview

As a Loss Prevention Officer, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the store by preventing theft, deterring suspicious activity, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. Your ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations will be essential to maintaining a safe shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the shop floor, stockrooms, and other areas to identify potential security risks.
  • Detect, deter, and report theft, vandalism, or other suspicious activity.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the store and ensure all security measures are in place.
  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond to incidents effectively.
  • Liaise with store management, staff, and external authorities when necessary.
  • Assist with staff training on loss prevention procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records.

We are looking for a confident, customer-focused individual to join our Loss Prevention team in a role that combines great service with a strong awareness of loss prevention. The ideal candidate will be friendly, approachable, and professional, creating a positive first impression for customers as they enter the store. You will be alert, observant and situationally aware, with the confidence to identify and respond appropriately to potential security or loss prevention concerns. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, can build rapport easily, and understands the importance of both excellent customer service and protecting the business. You will play an important part within our Loss Prevention and Welcome Host teams, supporting a friendly, welcoming, safe and secure environment for everyone in store.
