We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Chef de Partie to join our team and support the leadership of Bannister's Restaurant's kitchen operations.

Role Overview

Working under the guidance of our Head Chef, the Chef de Partie plays an important role in supporting the smooth running of the kitchen.

The role involves preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes, while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness.

The Chef de Partie will take responsibility for their section, support junior members of the team, and work closely with the wider kitchen and Front of House teams to deliver a consistent and enjoyable dining experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to the required quality and presentation standards.
  • Take responsibility for a designated section of the kitchen during service.
  • Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of kitchen operations.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and cleanliness at all times.
  • Assist with stock control, rotation, and minimising food waste.
  • Support the training and development of junior kitchen team members where required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Front of House team to help deliver excellent customer service.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and company standards consistently.
  • Report any kitchen issues, equipment faults, or stock concerns to the Head Chef.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to support menu development and continuous improvement.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in a chef role.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
  • A comprehensiveunderstanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Level 2 or higher Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.
