Boundary Outlet is a leading retail destination with a passion for providing exceptional dining experiences in our in-store café and restaurant. Behind the scenes, our kitchen team works hard to deliver delicious food to our customers, and we’re looking for a dedicated Commis Chef to join the team.
Base pay range
Job Title: Commis Chef
Location: Bannisters Kitchen, Boundary Outlet, Colne
Hours: 40 hours a week working 5 days out of 7

Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure meals are prepared to the correct specification.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring all equipment, work surfaces, and utensils are clean and sanitised.
- Wash and organise crockery, cutlery, and cookware efficiently.
- Support chefs and other team members during busy periods.
- Monitor stock levels of kitchen supplies and notify supervisors when replenishments are needed.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including food hygiene regulations.

- Attention to detail, particularly in maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
