Position: Deputy Manager – Supported Living

Job Location: Merthyr, CF48

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 Hours per week

Base Salary: £28,505 Per Annum

Qualifications: QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) and experience of leading a team within the care sector. You will also need to understand the care sector regulatory framework, service delivery with excellent working knowledge of the essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.

You will play a key role in staff development, service delivery, and maintaining care standards.

Full job description: As Assistant Manager, you will help lead a dedicated team in delivering exceptional, person-centred care to vulnerable adults. You'll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, staff development, and the highest standards of support for individuals with complex needs.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to vulnerable adults, enhancing their quality of life.
  • Support the Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and service objectives.
  • Lead operations in the Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity and high standards.
  • Maintain and evaluate care records to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Supervise and support staff development through training, mentoring, and appraisals.
  • Monitor care quality across the team, promoting best practices.
  • Facilitate meaningful activities that promote dignity, independence, and well-being.
  • Work flexibly on a rota, including early, late, night, and weekend shifts.
