Reports To: Senior Account Director
Boulder Group is seeking a talented and proactive Senior Account Manager to join our growing Client Services team. The role will report into the Senior Account Director and will sit alongside a team of account & project leads. The ideal candidate will be a natural project manager, understanding the core principals of project management, time management & team management and MUST HAVE experience working in top creative agencies.
This role will offer a diverse and challenging client base across life sciences and technology sectors. We service our clients across a range of marketing specialties, with a focus on creativity at the heart of everything we do. From developing brand strategies and identities for startups, to creating campaign concepts & strategies for established in-house teams, we always push for industry-leading creativity.
The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for owning and nurturing client relationships, taking client briefs & turning them into robust project plans to be delivered by our talented in-house team of strategists, creatives, designers, copywriters, animators & developers.
We are looking for someone with diverse experience managing projects across a range of outputs including brand, digital marketing, moving image & web. They must have at least 3 years experience.
Core responsibilities
Client Relationships:
- Act as the key point of contact for clients on day-to-day matters, fostering trust and rapport through clear, professional and considered communications.
- Respond promptly to client queries, providing updates and managing expectations, but seeking support from your manager in responding to clients.
- Be the advocate for the client internally, pushing our teams to deliver the best outcomes to achieve client objectives.
- Help the Client Services team forge strong cross-agency relationships – help the wider Client Services team train new team members in agency procedures where required.
Project Coordination:
- Oversee & manage planning, execution, and delivery of client projects, ensuring timelines are met. This involves preparing project documentation, meeting agendas & meeting notes, and preparin robust project kick offs.
- Manage briefing documents and follow-ups, ensuring clarity and completeness. The AM is responsible for ensuring that meeting agendas are prepared ahead of time.
- Support the wider Client Services team with project admin where required.
Financial Management:
- Preparing cost estimates and tracking spend against budgets by ensuring that POs and Costs are always up to date in finance systems.
- Manage project profitability by always looking for smart ways to complete project tasks.
Creative & Strategic Input:
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, asking questions and challenging the client brief to foster creativity, new ideas, and better our output.
· Working on new business pitches – conducting in depth research, assisting with proposals.
- Take responsibility for quality control, ensuring that any strategic or creative outputs are checked for quality and meet client guidelines/briefs, by collaborating with the project lead to validate this.
Managing up:
· The Account Manager should be proactive in providing updates & concerns to senior team members.
· When issues are flagged, the AM should attempt to think of solutions and ideas to overcome issues, as well as seeking support in finding the answer.
· The AM should stay in the detail of all projects that they’re involved in to ensure that they’re able to proactively flag and update project team members of any developments which impact people’s work
