The predicted salary is between 28000 - 35000 £ per year.
Managing and controlling the dispatch of the daily workload to the fleet to achieve delivery service levels. Coordinating between transport, planning, warehouse management and compliance; whilst escalating and managing issues in real time. A permanent night shift position working 10pm to 6am out of our Lymedale site.
Enhanced Overtime: 1.5x hourly rate for all overtime
Shifts: 5 in 7 days per week on a rota basis 10pm to 6am
Holidays: 33 days per year

Day to Day:
- Manage the completion of the outbound delivery schedule in real time
- Control vehicle and driver resource against schedules within compliance restrictions
- Identify and resolve issues that may impact completion of the schedule
- Communicate with other areas such as Backhaul, GHT, VMU and Delivery Service
- Answer incoming communication to the traffic desk
- Support drivers who require assistance from the team
- Manage vehicles to meet service schedules
- Complete accurate administration work and reports to the required standards.
- To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health, Safety, environmental and welfare of yourself and others in your departments.
What will you bring?
- Previous experience within a Transport Office
- Strong communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal
- IT literate – Experience with SAP, Tacho Analysis, Microlise would be advantageous
- Proactive, team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good UK geographic knowledge
