Why Choose Bottomline?

Are you ready to transform the way businesses pay and get paid?

Bottomline is a global leader in business payments and cash management, with over 35 years of experience and moving more than $16 trillion in payments annually.

We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team and help drive impactful results for our customers.

If you're dedicated to delighting customers and promoting growth and innovation - we want you on our team!

Bottomline's Corporate Solutions, underpinned with our AI investment in BEA, brings together accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and payments into a intelligent, connected suite for corporates, giving finance teams real-time visibility and control across the entire cash lifecycle.

By embedding BEA, as a governed AI platform, directly into core financial workflows, it enables organizations to move beyond disconnected tools and manual processes, allowing teams to act on data with confidence while maintaining full auditability and oversight.

The Opportunity CFOs face growing pressure to improve cash certainty, reduce operational risk and cost, and demonstrate how AI can create measurable value in finance.

Yet for many organizations, fragmented systems, manual processes, and disconnected data spread across banks, ERPs, spreadsheets, and point solutions make that goal difficult to achieve.

We have announced the launch of BEA, our agentic platform, integrated into our corporate suite of solutions, a major product innovation for Bottomline.

Global Cash Management and Payments Hub are critical pillars of this launch.

This technology will empower finance leaders with conversational AI and autonomous governed workflows; transforming treasury workflows, enhancing cash visibility, and driving faster, smarter decision-making.

We are looking for an ambitious, visionary product leader to own and drive this transformation for Cash Management and Payment Hub.

Someone who can marry deep treasury and cash management expertise with a bold understanding of how agentic AI platforms will redefine the future of cash management.

Role

The Product Director, Cash Management and Payment Hub is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, product roadmap, investment decisions, and product releases and launches of Bottomline's Cash Management and Payments solutions within the wider Corporate Solutions Suite.

The role sits at the intersection of treasury and cash management expertise and next-generation agentic AI.

You will lead a team of three direct reports spanning strategic direction, product delivery, and product management, and will report into Bottomline's Global Head of Product, Corporate Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision, Strategy, Roadmap and Annual Planning.
  • Own and articulate the product vision and strategy for Cash Management and Payment Hub within Corporate Solutions.
  • Lead market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer insight activities to inform product strategy and prioritization. This includes sizing the total market size.
  • Full accountability for the product roadmap, prioritization framework, and investment plan for Cash Management and Payment Hub; balancing strategic plan, customer demands and commercial rigor.
  • Continually update and own the short-, medium-, and long-term product roadmap for Cash Management and Payment Hub.

Ensuring it is clearly defined, reviewed, and communicated to senior stakeholders, customers, and internal teams.

  • Lead the prioritization process and framework that evaluates potential investments and priorities.

Ensure this prioritization reflects Bottomline's strategic focus: solving corporate issues in operational cashflow using both Saa S and Agentic technology.

  • Act as the decision-maker on roadmap sequencing for Cash Management and Payments Hub, with the ability to defend and articulate those decisions to the Executive team, Engineering, Sales, and customers.
  • Own the annual planning process for Cash Management and Payment Hub — outlining new capability development, platform enhancements, and agentic AI investments.
  • Product Business Case Development and ROI
  • Build robust, commercially grounded business cases for new product investments.

Clearly articulate expected revenue impact, customer acquisition and retention outcomes, development cost, time to value, and risk profile.

  • Work with Finance and senior leadership to define and manage the product investment budget, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-value opportunities.
  • Define and track clear return on investment (ROI) metrics for each major product initiative, reporting progress to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
  • Work with the Global Pricing team to ensure Cash Management and Payment Hub is highly competitive, retains and grows our margin, and that pricing is built in a way which our sales team and customers can clear understand.

Product GTM, Commercialization and Market Engagement.

  • Engage directly with key customers and prospects to validate investment priorities, ensuring the roadmap is grounded in real-world demand and market signals.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to lead, define and execute go to-market strategies for Cash Management, Payment Hub and BEA.
  • Partner with Marketing to support campaign generation, webinars and presentations as a key figure and thought leader for Bottomline. AI and Product Champion
  • Be a champion and architect of agentic AI / BEA adoption within the Cash Management and Payment Hub domain.
  • Be, and be seen, as a market and industry leader in finance agentic platforms and their applicability to Cash Management and Payment Hub solutions.
  • Drive the integration of BEA agents as one cog in a wider solution of workflow, transformation, tooling, and system integration.
  • Shape how the BEA platform delivers conversational and agentic AI to treasury and cash management workflows.

Enabling treasurers, cash managers, and payment professionals to drive KPI improvements in their business.

  • Define how BEA operates autonomously across Cash Management and Payment Hub workflows.
  • Ensure that agentic BEA/AI investments within Cash Management and Payments Hub are properly sequenced on the roadmap, with clear business cases and measurable outcomes defined before development commences.

Product Deliver, Product Management and PDLC

  • Lead end-to-end product releases and launches for Cash Management and Payment Hub across the CFO Suite, ensuring solutions are shipped on time, to quality, and aligned to customer outcomes.
  • Work closely with Engineering, UX, Data, and Go-to-Market teams to define, build, and launch market-leading capabilities.
  • Shape and ensure adherence to Bottomline’s PDLC as this evolves alongside Bottomline’s SDLC.
  • Ensure delivery milestones are tightly connected to roadmap commitments, with clear escalation paths when scope, timeline, or budget are at risk.
  • Management of all existing products including the management and improvements of key commercial, compliance and cost KPIs across the product portfolio.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three direct reports across strategic direction, product delivery, and product management disciplines.
  • Build a high-performance product culture that is customer-obsessed, data-driven, and AI-first.
  • Champion a development philosophy that prioritises AI literacy as a fundamental capability — recognizing that AI proficiency represents a competitive advantage.
  • Ensure your team has the tools, processes, and frameworks needed to manage the roadmap, prioritization, and investment responsibilities effectively.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Treasury & Cash Management Expertise
  • Practitioner-level knowledge of corporate treasury, cash management, and payments — gained either through a treasury/finance operational role, or a product or technology role supporting finance teams.
  • Understanding of liquidity management, cash forecasting, payment rails (BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, FPS, Open Banking), multi-bank connectivity, and in-house banking.
  • Familiarity with ERP integrations and the data challenges facing corporate treasury.
  • Understanding of how treasury cash forecasting, invoice processing and payments, and cash application connect across the cash lifecycle.
  • Agentic AI
  • Proven ability to embrace, articulate, and deliver AI-powered products — with a genuine conviction about how agentic platforms will transform finance operations.
  • Understanding of how an agentic platform enables CFOs and their teams to transform their finance operations — not just assisting tasks or improving decisions.
  • Ability to work closely with AI development teams, ML engineers, and data teams to translate commercial opportunities into deliverable product offerings.
  • Product Leadership & Roadmap Accountability
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or Head of Product capacity.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and delivering complex product roadmaps at scale — including prioritization frameworks, investment business cases, and stakeholder communication.
  • Experience managing product investment budgets and building commercially rigorous business cases for new product capabilities.
  • Proven ability to make and defend difficult prioritization decisions in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience in launching, enhancing and managing products that found a market, generated meaningful sales and revenue, and were profitable.
  • Experience orchestrating cross-functional teams across product delivery and strategy, with strong commercial acumen — able to connect product decisions to revenue, ARR growth, and customer retention outcomes.
  • Leadership & Communication
  • Inspirational leader with the ability to develop a high-performing product team.
  • Executive-level communication skills — able to present roadmaps, investment cases, and customer insights to C-suite stakeholders with conviction and clarity.
