Position Title: Database Administrator Role II

Department: Datacenter Engineering

Essential Job Functions:

  • Positive and all in attitude.

  • Proactively identify and resolve system availability, performance concerns as well as ensure system security.
  • Create and maintain encryption and replication strategies between various database environments.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Experience with performance tuning utilizing indexes, disk and query optimizations, and other methods.
  • Experience with database replication and failover mechanisms.
  • Experience with encryption methodologies for databases.
  • Experience with database clustering techniques.
  • Experience with at least two of the following database technologies (Oracle, Postgres, MSSQL).

Education and Experience:

  • Seven or more years of direct experience working as a Database Administrator.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or relevant experience.
