The Role

Bottomline is looking for a Java Developer/Engineer to grow with useither in a Hybrid work environment out of our Theale, Reading, UK office or remotely.

This person must be based in the United Kingdom.

How you\’ll contribute:

This person will:

Take partinthe development andmaintenanceofaSAASPlatform.

• Develop and maintain theplatform(coding)
• Identify and resolveincidents.
• Deliveringhigh quality, bug free software
• Respectingcustomer commitments
• Assistingoperations (incl. support,delivery,and pre-sales) with subject matter expertise when needed
• Providingexpected effort to solvecustomer issues
• Understanding fully the FM(Financial Messaging)Strategy

What will make you successful:

• Strong/provencoding experience on backend technologies Java, especiallySpring/Spring Bootframework, JPA – Must Have
• 5-8 years’ experience in software development.
• ITmaster’s degree orbachelor’sdegree in computers science engineeringor relevant experience.
• High understanding of Kubernetes andof all phases of SDLC, experience in working with Agile methodology.
• High understanding ofmulti-tier architecture, Web based development and Services Oriented Architecture.
• Knowledge or experience in software design and architecture, with familiarity in bothmicroservices andhexagonalarchitecture.
• Be aware of Non-Functional Requirements.
• Strong understanding ofRESTful services.
• Strong analytical and algorithmic skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for learning and innovation.
• Heightened sense of client service.
• Excellentoraland written communication skills
• Solid experience in designing and developing with relational databases (Postgres) andSQL.
• Good knowledge ofcontainerizedplatforms working withDockerand
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such asMaven,Bitbucket,GitLab,Jenkins

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with anyMessage Broker such asActiveMQwould be an advantage.
• Knowledge ofS3 environment would be an advantage.
• Knowledge ofSWIFT network/bankingenvironment would be an advantage.
