About The Job
We’re Bottled Imagination – the creative digital PR agency based in Manchester producing some of the most talked about campaigns in the UK right now. We’ve picked up awards at PR Week, PR Moments, UK Search, UK Digital PR and UK Content Awards and we’re just getting started. We’ve been the “best new agency” and now we just want to be “the best”.
What we are looking for
We’re looking for a Head of PR who genuinely loves this industry. Not someone who fell into it. Not someone who’s riding it out until something better comes along. Someone who wakes up thinking about stories, ideas and what makes journalists and audiences actually excited. We’re looking for someone whose energy is infectious – the kind that pulls a team of 20+ along with them without even trying. This is a senior leadership role at an agency that’s ambitious about the work it produces. We need someone who understands where PR sits in the modern marketing mix – from organic search to LLM visibility – and who can lead from the front as we continue to grow. If you want to lead a team producing the work that other agencies wish they were, read on. This is an opportunity to lead, disrupt, and define what truly great PR looks like. If you’re up for the challenge, let’s talk.
What you will be doing
- Leading and inspiring a team of 20+ brilliant PR professionals — running creative sessions, setting the bar for output quality, and building a culture where brilliant ideas are expected, not occasional.
- Acting as a senior client contact for key accounts, demonstrating the value of PR beyond coverage — including its role in organic search performance and AI-driven visibility.
- Keeping a pulse on what makes a story land right now, and passing that knowledge down through the team constantly.
- Spotting problems before they become problems – proactive, solution led, and never waiting to be asked.
- Contributing to new business pitches and helping grow existing client relationships.
- Bringing social and influencer thinking into campaigns where it adds to the story (experience here is a plus, not a requirement).
- Helping us fly the flag for Bottled Imagination externally — whether that’s industry events, commentary or just being the kind of person people want to work with.
The package
- A competitive salary (we know agencies always say this, but we mean it – we’ll discuss the bracket available with you).
- A generous holiday entitlement.
- Work anywhere policy for 2 weeks a year.
- Learn anything incentive.
- Competitive targets and growth incentives.
- A chance to create something of your own.
- A company that puts people at the heart.
- All the equipment and resources you need to do great work.
We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for every employee. We welcome and encourage applications from all suitably qualified candidates, regardless of race, religious beliefs, age, sex, sexual orientation, or disability.
WHAT’S IT LIKE TO WORK AT BOTTLED IMAGINATION?
How do you feel about flexible working? Everyone works best in different ways – and we want to bring the best out of our team whenever we can. So, while we love working collaboratively and have arranged working days from our Manchester base, we offer flexibility when it comes to remote working. Just let us know what you need, and we’ll make it happen.
What are your company benefits? We’re still new, so we’re always discovering new benefits that are important to our team. Our employees are at the heart of everything we do, so wellbeing is massive to us, driving our decisions when it comes to benefits. As it stands, we offer a generous pension scheme and half days on Fridays – but we are always open to hearing about what’s important to you.
Can I get training and personal development plans? Short answer: yes. We tailor training around you, helping you learn about what you want to learn about, and developing into the positions you want to develop into. If it’s important to you, we’ll give you the training.
Will I get the equipment I need? Yes, we’ll give you everything you need to get the job done. All you need to bring is your imagination. And maybe some baked goods every once in a while. That’d be nice.
What’s your culture like? We’re working hard to create a culture where everyone thrives. This means no hierarchy, an employee-first mindset and at least three knock-knock jokes cracked a day. Don’t like jokes? Want more after-work pub trips? Fancy a weekly book/games/beer/music club? Let us know – we want our employees to help us build the culture they’re after.
