Bottle is an award-winning PR agency based in Oxford specialising in digital PR, content, social media and influencer marketing. Our team of Lightning Catchers thrives on variety, intellectual curiosity, and being open to challenge.

Due to a wave of new client wins, we’re looking for an Account Director to join our team in Oxford.

As our new Account Director, you will:

  • Take the reins on 4-6 client accounts, driving results that make both clients and search engines take notice.
  • Craft digital PR strategies that turn business objectives into headline-grabbing, link-earning campaigns.
  • Lead our quarterly StoryPlanning sessions, where you will transform insights into ideas that journalists can’t resist and Google can’t ignore.
  • Design campaigns that bust through KPIs and make everyone look brilliant.
  • Join our successful pitch team to win the clients everyone wants to work with.
  • Mentor 2-3 team members who will look to you for inspiration.

We’re looking for strength in one of two superpowers (having both makes you practically superhuman, but we’re realists):

  • Fame Maker: You’ve worked on award-winning brand activations and come up with killer ideas that get talked about. You’ve placed stories that made clients grin from ear to ear, and you understand the media landscape like it’s your hometown.
  • Findability Master: You’ve created digital PR campaigns that send search rankings soaring. You craft stories that balance strategic goals with what you know high DA publications will lap up. You know backlinks are currency, and you’re excellent at earning them.

Whichever camp you’re in, you’re eager to develop in the other. After all, the future of PR lives at the intersection of fame and findability.

Everyone needs these:

  • Strategic thinking that connects communications to actual business results.
  • The ability to analyse performance and pivot when needed.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire both clients, your team and the rest of the agency.
  • Commercial nous that helps grow accounts year after year.
  • The perfect balance of thoughtful analysis and quick action.

We call ourselves Lightning Catchers because we seize opportunities, move with energy, and create connections that spark. We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings a constant current of enthusiasm and ideas.
  • Builds bridges between team members, clients, and media contacts.
  • Celebrates successes (small or spectacular) with genuine passion.
  • Continuously seeks better ways to work, never settling for "good enough".

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Hybrid working - 3 days in our Oxford HQ, 2 days wherever you do your best thinking.
  • 5 weeks of holiday plus your birthday off (because working on your birthday is just wrong).
  • Enhanced pension (5%) and health cash plan (because adulting is important).
  • Training resources that keep your skills razor-sharp.
  • Team experiences, including our legendary annual trips (recent adventures: Wilderness Festival, a country house in Wales, and Morocco).
  • Starting salary of £45K (depending on experience).
  • Immediate start for the right person.

If you’re excited about creating campaigns that drive both fame and findability for ambitious brands, we want to hear from you. Send your CV and cover letter to careers@wearebottle.com explaining why you’re the perfect addition to our lightning-catching team.
