About the Role As General Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of Bar Douro Soho, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, efficiently and consistently to the highest standards. This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role. Youll lead from the front, setting the standard for your team and creating an environment where people feel supported, motivated and proud of what they do. As part of the pre-opening team, youll play a key role in bringing the new restaurant to life from building and developing your team to establishing operational standards and creating a culture that reflects Bar Douros vision, purpose, pillars and values. You will: Take full ownership of the restaurants day-to-day operations and performance. Lead, coach and develop your team, creating a positive and high-performing culture. Set clear expectations and lead by example across service, hospitality and operational standards. Deliver an exceptional guest experience that reflects the Bar Douro brand. Organise and prioritise workloads effectively, ensuring targets and deadlines are consistently met. Drive performance across sales, costs, labour and other key commercial measures. Maintain consistently high standards of food, wine, service, health & safety and compliance. Work closely with the wider management and senior leadership teams to support the continued growth of the business. Play a key role in the successful pre-opening and launch of Bar Douro Soho. About You Were looking for an inspiring hospitality leader who combines strong operational knowledge with genuine passion for people, food, wine and guest experience. Youll ideally have: Proven experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager within a quality-led restaurant or hospitality environment. A natural ability to lead, inspire and develop a team. A genuine passion for hospitality, food, wine and creating memorable guest experiences. A confident, charismatic and approachable personality. A hands-on approach and a willingness to be visible and involved in the operation. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure. A strong understanding of restaurant operations and commercial performance. A focus on quality, consistency and attention to detail. The ability to build strong relationships with both guests and colleagues. Curiosity, ambition and a genuine desire to learn, develop and progress your career.
