Kick-start your career with Bott Ltd! We are looking for a motivated Business Administration Apprentice to join our team in Bude, Cornwall. Responsibilities
- Administrative Support: Provide daily assistance with data entry, reporting, and project management to ensure smooth business operations.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Gain exposure within various teams, including Service & Delivery, In-life Support, Procurement, Finance, Site Services, and HR, learning the processes that keep Bott Ltd at the forefront of the industry.
- IT skills and documentation: Demonstrate proficiency with multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, and record and analyse data (e.g., MS Office or equivalent). Select appropriate IT solutions to solve business problems. Update and review databases, record information, and produce data analysis where required.
- Record keeping and communications: Produce accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports, and proposals. Draft correspondence, write reports, review othersβ work, maintain records and files, and handle confidential information in compliance with the organisation's procedures. Coach others in these processes.
- Proactivity and decision-making: Exercise proactivity and good judgement, making effective decisions based on sound reasoning and seeking advice from more experienced team members when appropriate.
- Relationship building: Build and maintain positive relationships within the team and across the organisation. Influence and challenge appropriately and develop coaching skills as area knowledge grows.
- Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills across face-to-face, telephone, written, and digital channels. Use appropriate channels, carry authority, and apply social media solutions appropriately when relevant. Represent the organisation or department when needed.
- Quality and process improvement: Complete tasks to a high standard, review processes autonomously, and suggest improvements. Share administrative best practices and coach others. Apply problem-solving skills to resolve challenging or complex issues and act as a key contact for addressing problems.
- Organisation and project delivery: Take responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, managing priorities and time to meet deadlines. Manage expectations at all levels, organise meetings and events, take minutes, and create action logs. Handle logistics such as travel and accommodation.
- Project management principles: Use relevant project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor, and report. Plan required resources and lead projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills
