Located within the picturesque and historic area of South Lanarkshire, Bothwell Castle Care Home is a private, luxurious care facility offering Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 75 residents. We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join our night team. If you are motivated to support others, lead by example, and put resident wellbeing at the heart of all you do, this could be the perfect opportunity.

What We Offer:

  • £14.10 per hour
  • Contracted to 38.5 hours per week
  • £500 Welcome Bonus (£250 after 3 months, £250 after 6 months) – terms apply
  • Paid PVG, uniform and pension scheme

  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

What You Will Do:

As Team Leader, you will lead a team of Care Assistants during the night shift, ensuring the highest standard of care and support is delivered to each resident. You will supervise care routines, manage medication safely, respond to resident needs with empathy and professionalism, and ensure clear, effective communication across the team. You will play an active role in reviewing care plans, supporting the personal and clinical needs of residents, and acting as a point of contact for families and external professionals when needed. Your leadership will help maintain a calm, supportive, and respectful atmosphere throughout the home.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and motivated approach with a commitment to high-quality care
  • Experience supporting older people, ideally including those living with dementia
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team effectively
  • SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (essential)
  • Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
