This is a hands‐on role supporting the delivery of high-quality horticultural services across Botanically's portfolio of gardens. Working alongside Senior Horticulturists and the wider team, you will help maintain, develop, and improve gardens while championing sustainable gardening practices throughout.
Botanically operates exclusively across South East London using a fleet of fully electric vehicles as part of our sustainability ethos. To enable efficient travel between client sites, we are seeking candidates who are based in South London or nearby areas.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the maintenance, development, and ongoing improvement of allocated gardens
- Deliver high-quality, eco‐friendly garden maintenance to ensure year‐round interest and presentation
- Support the implementation of planting schemes and seasonal displays
- Assist with seasonal planting, including bulbs and bedding plants, with sustainability at the forefront
- Support the installation and maintenance of standard irrigation systems
- Support the installation and maintenance of standard garden wiring systems
- Help implement new and existing sustainable gardening practices
- Carry out routine horticultural tasks including pruning, weeding, mulching, planting, lawn care, and plant health monitoring
- Build positive and professional relationships with clients
- Represent Botanically professionally on‐site and communicate courteously with clients
- Report client feedback, garden observations, and opportunities to Senior Horticulturists and management
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors as directed
- Work collaboratively with Senior Horticulturists and colleagues across the business
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop horticultural knowledge and practical skills
- Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities
- Promote Botanically's values through professionalism, presentation, and communication
- Gardens are maintained to a consistently high standard and reflect Botanically's sustainability values
- Clients receive a professional, friendly, and reliable service
- You demonstrate growing horticultural knowledge and practical skills
- You contribute positively to the team and support colleagues effectively
- Work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

- RHS Level 2 qualification in Horticulture (or currently working towards it) is desirable, equivalent practical experience will be considered
- Good practical horticultural knowledge and enthusiasm for plants. 1‐2 years professional gardening or horticulture experience preferred
- Ability to carry out gardening tasks safely and effectively
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
