RBG Kew has an international reputation for the diversity and quality of its living collections, arguably the most diverse plant collection in cultivation in the world. We are seeking a skilled horticulturist to join our team, focusing on propagating and cultivating some of the most valuable living plant collections in our gardens.
The ideal candidate will possess good knowledge and experience in:
- Propagation techniques
- Irrigation
- Plant nutrition
- Pest and disease management
- The use of appropriate machinery
A Level 2 qualification in horticulture or an equivalent is preferred. The collections include plants of high conservation and scientific value. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records to support these values. Most importantly, you should have a keen interest in plants and a desire to expand your knowledge within a unique garden environment.
