We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to support aerospace maintenance and operational activities within a highly regulated environment. Reporting to the Production & Support Engineering Manager, you will focus on improving operational efficiency, optimizing workflows, supporting production planning, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with engineering, operations, quality, and planning teams, you will help improve process performance, schedule execution, and overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse operational and production processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support production planning, workload balancing, capacity assessments, and scheduling activities.
- Conduct process mapping, time studies, and standard work development.
- Analyse data to identify bottlenecks, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the implementation of process improvements and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve process-related issues.
- Monitor and report on productivity, schedule adherence, and operational performance metrics.
- Develop production schedules and precedence networks to support programme delivery.
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities.
- Support facility, tooling, and workflow optimisation initiatives where required.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, Operations Improvement, or a similar role.
- Experience analysing workflows, processes, or production systems.
- Experience using data and analytical techniques to support operational decision-making.
- Experience developing production schedules and precedence networks.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience within aerospace, defence, manufacturing, engineering, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with production planning, capacity analysis, and resource management.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
