About the Role

The Senior Project Manager, PMO, plays a critical role in enabling the profitable and sustainable growth of Boston Scientific EMEA by leading complex, strategic programs aligned with regional and global priorities. This role combines senior project and program leadership with a strong capability in statistical analysis, data-driven insights, and executive-level reporting. The position is designed to assess and interpret large and complex data sets, transform analytics into clear, actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making at senior leadership level, operating with a consultative mindset.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strategic Program & Project Leadership
    • Partner with senior business leaders to identify, assess, and prioritize strategic initiatives that support EMEA growth objectives.
    • Lead the end-to-end design, planning, governance, and execution of complex, multi-country programs and projects.
    • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including scope definition, milestones, dependencies, resourcing, and risk management.
    • Proactively manage multiple programs in parallel, ensuring alignment to strategy, timelines, and financial objectives.
    • Escalate issues, remove delivery barriers, and resolve conflicts efficiently, engaging functional leadership where required.
  • Data Analytics, Statistical Analysis & Decision Support
    • Lead the analysis of large and complex datasets to assess program performance, business impact, and risk exposure.
    • Apply statistical analysis techniques to identify trends, correlations, performance drivers, and improvement opportunities.
    • Translate complex analytical outputs into clear, concise, executive-ready insights that directly support leadership decision-making.
    • Operate as a trusted internal consultant, providing fact-based recommendations and scenario analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Reporting & Governance
    • Deliver streamlined, high-quality reporting tailored to executive, steering committee, and stakeholder audiences.
    • Ensure strong governance practices across programs, including financial tracking, benefits realization, risk management, and compliance.
    • Present findings, insights, and strategic recommendations with confidence and clarity at senior management forums.
  • Change Management & Business Transformation
    • Partner with stakeholders to define and execute effective change management strategies, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models.
    • Support organizational design, process improvement, and business transformation initiatives across EMEA.
  • Leadership & People Management
    • Provide direct people management where applicable, including coaching, development, performance management, and talent progression.
    • Act as a role model and mentor within the PMO community, strengthening project management, analytical, and consulting capabilities.
    • Lead and foster communities of practice, encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
    • Build an inclusive, high-performing team environment aligned with Boston Scientific values and leadership expectations.
  • Collaboration & External Engagement
    • Facilitate collaboration across functions, geographies, and external partners.
    • Strengthen relationships with external vendors, institutions, and technology partners, leveraging insights and best practices.
  • Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
    • Ensure all programs operate in compliance with Boston Scientific Quality Policy, Quality System, and applicable regulatory requirements.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven performance management, and learning.
  • Management Requirements
    • Lead, coach, and develop employees in support of organizational goals.
    • May manage budgets, resources, and priorities across multiple programs or functional areas.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
    • Foster diversity, inclusion, and engagement across teams.

What are we looking for in you?

  • Required Knowledge & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree with 10–12 years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years of complex project and program management experience, preferably within IT, digital, or data-enabled environments.
    • Experience of project and program management from within the MedTech or pharmaceutical sector.
    • Demonstrated experience in data analytics, statistical analysis, KPI development, and executive-level reporting.
    • Strong ability to synthesize complex information and influence decision-making at senior leadership level.
    • Proven experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams.
    • Strong change management expertise with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
    • Willingness to travel up to 20% and eligible to work in Europe.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Strategic portfolio management experience across multiple programs or products.
    • Experience operating in a commercial, matrixed, and global organization.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills across Sales, Marketing, IT, and external partners.
    • Experience with IT deployments, digital transformation, AI-enabled solutions, or advanced analytics.
    • Ability to influence at executive level across regions and functions.
