Purpose Statement

As the HS&P Solutions Hub Director, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy for HealthCare Solutions and Partnerships, including ADVANTICS Solutions, for Boston Scientific, with the overall purpose of accelerating our revenues, growth, and market share.

This position will have a significant focus on 3 key elements to enable the organisation to meet its goals and vision:

  • ADVANTICS integrated marketing plan, definition and rollout for each of the solutions and scale these according to each of the BSC divisions.
  • Define and execute the marketing strategy for holistic solutions that address Customers’ challenges (ie. Advisory solutions, Digital Health Solutions etc).
  • Define and deliver the HS&P Marketing plan to all non-clinical stakeholders with a focus on GPOs and private groups.

In addition, you will be required to energise the organisation by driving change to support the strategic direction of the business which is focused on customers, patients, shareholders, and employees; delivering this through strong collaboration with different stakeholders (within HS&P, divisions & CoEs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Development: Identify and prioritize new business opportunities across multiple disease states which are consistent with divisional and R&D strategic plans, such as out-patient / same-day discharge. Ensure Divisional Marketing plans integrate ADVANTICS solutions and services. Coordinate new product launch opportunities with divisional stakeholders to build and drive integrated GPO plans with a differentiated value proposition, aimed at driving profitable share in strategic accounts and groups.
  • Solutions Marketing Management: Direct ADVANTICS & Digital health launch planning and execution of the same. Including, but not limited to, market assessment; forecasting; customer segmentation and targeting; positioning; communications strategy; and post-launch follow-up through customer feedback etc. In addition, develop solutions plans for conferences, conventions, sponsorships, training etc.
  • Business Management: Responsible for activities which will support the achievement of HS&P's KPIs; which will include control and management of the HS&P marketing OPEX; driving consistent marketing processes; developing and executing marketing plans/strategies leading to the execution of sales objectives; coordinate and work with other divisional marketing leads to achieve the company goals, ensuring the inclusion of new market trends (SDD/Outpatient), GPOs, Digital health as well as Therapy solutions and services.
  • Ensure internal transformation through driving change management across the organisation to support the adoption of solutions; be a change agent, coach commercial and solutions teams using analytics effectively and supportive tools to encourage adoption. Ensure data availability and quality, enabling Sales & Marketing Cloud as a key source of Customer Insight. Ensure the implementation of our key processes eg ADVANTICS© solution launch plans and delivery (forecast to execution) through Sales & Marketing Cloud. Conceive and implement the customer data collection through the Sales Force.
  • Build and maintain strong Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: You will be responsible for ensuring consistency of branding and communication across the portfolio and various franchise teams, including customer events and customer-facing materials. Develop a focused KOL network and ensure the franchise leadership team has a clear KOL engagement strategy and process by the franchise in place for selected KOL and key influencers. Maintain a pulse on the market, ensuring frequent engagement with local sales teams and the customers identified by the sales team for local strategic engagement. Work with the EMEA divisional and global Corporate account teams, to ensure aligned approaches in view of accelerated market trends such as outpatient and purchasing consolidation. Develop ongoing communication and relationships with key functions including Regulatory, Clinical, Finance, Supply Chain, and other related functions.
  • Planning and Analysis: Develop and coordinate the HS&P strategic plans and solutions pipeline to achieve divisional/local objectives; coordinate and prepare quarterly business forecasts and supporting material/tools; continuously review all aspects of the key solutions portfolio to enhance and ensure continuous improvement.

Profile Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales or related field.
  • Strong experience in managing and leading teams and demonstrated strategic leadership skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional and management influencing skills as well as the ability to develop customer relationships.
  • Experience working globally in a virtual & matricial organization.
  • Proven track record of developing marketing programs & executing marketing strategies.
  • Proven strong strategic skill set and proactive cross-functional team player with the capability to communicate concisely at a senior management level.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering- Master's degree in marketing or equivalent preferred.
  • Fluency in English required- Fluency in additional European languages would be an asset.
