The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) franchise represents the core of Boston Scientific’s long-standing leadership in cardiac care. Training and Education for both employees and Health Care Professionals remains essential to support clinical excellence, therapy adoption, enhance procedural consistency, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The primary objective of this role is to plan, align and execute the country CRM education plan and programmes for field support personnel and customers. This includes conducting needs assessments to define the plan, monitoring internal learner progress, and leading the mentorship program in the country. The role also involves developing healthcare professional (HCP) programs to address specific local educational needs while leveraging EHQ programs. The specialist will conduct local HCP programs, establish criteria for evaluating training effectiveness, and continuously update lesson plans to reflect new training requirements and technical advancements.

Location: The role is remote and based in UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent and own the internal and external training plan for your country, tailoring learning experiences that meet local needs
    • Develop a plan to support all new hire employees and current employees to complete progressive curriculum in required timelines, by leveraging EHQ offering
    • Conduct a needs assessment for HCPs in collaboration with the local marketing team to identify specific HCP education needs in the region
    • Develop a plan to address HCP education needs aligned with EHQ education plan and integrating both EHQ programmes and specific local programmes required
  • Track and support the progress of employee-learners in your country, ensuring development goals are met and exceeded.
    • Identify Educational gaps in collaboration with managers and mentors and implementing solutions leveraging all resources to meet established timelines
    • Provide feedback to the EHQ team on programme improvements and necessary adaptations to meet new requirements and address new needs or learnings
  • Lead the mentorship program, bringing structure and inspiration to our learning culture.
    • Support all mentors in your region by identifying their development needs and helping them structure their mentoring support and gap assessment
    • Evaluate program outcomes, and plan for continuous improvement with EHQ Med Ed and country leadership support
  • Execute, track and monitor results for all the HCP education programmes in your country
    • Balance EHQ and country specific education programmes to meet your country’s needs
    • Design, implement, execute, define metrics and monitor specific country education programmes defined in your plan and aligned with learning objectives
    • Assess program impact, revise objectives, and plan for continuous improvement elevating needs within the country leadership and EHQ Med Ed
  • Manage budget for all country MedEd activities in collaboration with country marketing and business teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, internal and external, acting as a liaison between key country educational opinion leaders and Boston Scientific programs.
  • Act as the country SME for CRM education, serving as the go-to resource for training strategy, program execution, and internal support
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and establish strong networking in the country organization and within the EHQ team
  • Collaborate on the development of our current digital platforms and Learning Management System defining needs and utilizing the platforms in different curriculums
  • Keep abreast of industry standards and trends as related to responsibility and ensure compliance with governing agency guidelines.
  • Work with your manager to create a structured development plan aligned with your role progression and training needs.
  • Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
  • Leverages tools and programs across the organization
  • Ensure consistency in Boston Scientific branding guidelines.

Profile Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Medical Education/ Customer programs/ Field support
  • CRM (full portfolio) field support experience and expertise is required for this role (minimum 3 years)
  • Training and Medical Education background will be highly valued for the role (2 years)
  • Experience with educational platforms (e.g. EDUCARE digital platform), Learning Management Systems, e-learning programmes and digital content will be highly valued
  • University degree or equivalent required with solid expertise in Rhythm Management and CRM (disease, product, clinical)
  • Team player and collaboration attitude. Promote collaboration across the organization
  • Generate and champion new ideas and approaches
  • Strong customer focus, both internal and external customers
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Problem solving oriented and detail focus
  • Strong integrity, adaptability, agility
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple priorities. Ability to prioritize and focus
  • Didactic, presentation and strong communication skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Travel approx 30%, across the UK & Ireland region
