Purpose Statement
The Field Inventory Specialist will be responsible for processing Capital Equipment orders, monitor and reconcile cycle counts of hospital consigned and sales rep assigned inventory. They will also liaise with Sales teams to ensure compliance with company policies is met and KPIs are reached. Primary responsibilities will include data analysis, driving optimization programs with local business leads and customers, leveraging existing global tools and data sources. This full time position is for a 12-month fixed term contract. The role is based from our Hemel office, and offers hybrid working (2-3 days per week onsite in the office).
Key Responsibilities
- Support inventory management activities (count schedule, tools and progress monitoring);
- Process and analyse cycle count data leveraging company tools, Microsoft Excel and ERP system;
- Create, maintain and share ad hoc reporting on expiry scrap, inventory discrepancies and optimization programs;
- Monitor relevant KPIs;
- Support and guide new product launches and transitions;
- Support roll-out and adoption of existing and new field inventory management tools;
- Analyse field inventory landscape – identify priorities and opportunities for optimal balance between required service and cost (expiry scrap, inventory levels);
- Build relationship with divisional business unit managers, hospital staff and other functional stakeholders;
- Ensure compliance to company policies;
- Process orders coming in via fax, e-mail or telephone and for customers according to specific requirements;
- Monitor the complete delivery processes (e.g. Distribution Center and/or carrier);
- Handle service complaints from customers and/or sales representatives.
What are we looking for in you?
- At least 3 years of experience in supply chain environment or similar role;
- Attention to detail;
- Analytical approach;
- Solid Excel knowledge;
- SAP user;
- Customer centric;
- Willing to drive continuous improvement;
- Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and tools;
- PowerPoint, Tableau, other DB and reporting tool knowledge is a preferred qualification.
