Role Overview

The Neuromodulation Field Clinical Specialist Graduate (FCS) is responsible for providing clinical and technical support for Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) implants across assigned hospital accounts. The primary focus of the role is supporting SCS procedures through intraoperative and postoperative testing in both awake and asleep patient cases, ensuring optimal therapy delivery and positive patient outcomes. Starting in April 2026 this 12 month Graduate role will be serving London and the South East area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical & Technical Support
    • Provide onsite technical support during SCS implant procedures in catheter labs and operating theatres.
    • Perform intraoperative and postoperative system testing, programming, and patient follow‑up.
    • Troubleshoot product and therapy‑related issues both in person and remotely.
    • Serve as a primary clinical resource for assigned accounts, managing a variety of technical and therapy‑related queries.
  • Education & Training
    • Deliver product training and clinical education to healthcare professionals, including those new to SCS therapy.
    • Conduct presentations and hands‑on demonstrations using appropriate educational tools and platforms.
    • Support workshops, training events, and new product launches.
    • Provide initial and ongoing training for clinical centre personnel on product features, therapy optimisation, and best practice.
  • Commercial & Relationship Support
    • Partner with Sales Representatives to identify customer needs and demonstrate how company products support improved patient care.
    • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with physicians, nurses, and hospital stakeholders.
    • Respond proactively to customer feedback, concerns, and service needs, collaborating cross‑functionally to implement effective solutions.
  • Clinical Trial Support
    • Provide technical and clinical support for clinical trial activity within the assigned territory.
    • Support site authorisation processes and ensure study procedures are followed in line with investigational plans.
    • Deliver training and education to site personnel on trial protocols, investigational products, and study procedures.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in biomedical engineering or Neuroscience degree (2025/2026)
  • Strong patient and procedure‑focused mindset.
  • Comfortable working in operating theatre environments and engaging confidently with clinical teams.
  • High level of technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering training or education, particularly on technical products, is advantageous.
  • Preferably based in the Southeast of the UK, with flexibility to travel nationally as required.
  • Willingness to travel regularly during the working week.
