Purpose Statement
To manage the UK&I Field Inventory Management and Capital Equipment Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Responsible for providing the daily management and direction of the customer service team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction; Monitors team performance against service indicators on an ongoing basis, initiating corrective actions, preparing reports, summaries, analysis and documentation on all aspects of department function; Performs all personnel management activities for customer service staff, including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, salary management and professional development in collaboration with HR Manager; Coaches others in the team on a disciplined customer services model; Member of Senior management Team.
- Business Management: Building a partnership approach with country sales managers to service customers by ensuring regular FIM&CE team/field sales communications; Works in partnership with country sales managers in the control of consignment inventories; Works in partnership with country sales managers in the control of capital equipment devices, agreements and orders; Effectively presents and communicates core strategies and performance in the wider business; Exhibits strong inter-personal skills in front of the customer; Effectively support internal and external audit processes; Analyze field inventory landscape – identify priorities and opportunities for optimal balance between required service and cost (expiry scrap, inventory levels); Support on-site inventory management activities for customers, including inventory discrepancy resolution and purchase order collection; Provide monthly reporting on expiry scrap, days inventory on hand, optimization programs, Inventory Discrepancies. Work with Business Unit and Customer Care managers to achieve annual targets around expiry scrap and inventory optimization programs; Support roll-out and adoption of existing and new field inventory management tools; Ensure that all types of returns are well handled to the Distribution Center or Manufacturing sites; Ensure proper management of local emergency warehouse.
- Quality: As interface to Customers and Sales Representative has direct responsibility to facilitate, share documents and process to identify, notify and ensure any complaint or problem are addressed, thereby demonstrating high commitment to Quality in all interactions and behaviors - Act as needed to support and facilitate any field corrective action related his/her scope; Ensures awareness and compliance with applicable standard operating procedures to meet, comply and champion all quality and regulatory commitments of Boston Scientific.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent thru experience;
- At least 5 years of experience in supply chain environment or similar role;
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills;
- Advanced Excel. Other reporting or DB tools an advantage;
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work with others to include communication, presentation, analysis, negotiation etc;
- Customer centric;
- Innovative, independent thinker;
- Willing to drive continuous improvement;
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision;
- Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes and tools;
