We are currently working with an education provider in the Cheshire area who are looking for an Automotive Vocational Assessor (Trailers/Heavy Vehicle) to join their team. The position is a permanent full-time role, comprising of 37 hours per week, and would consist of assessing the vocational skills of a group of 40 automotive apprentices at a single site in Cheshire. The apprentices will be learning heavy vehicle manufacturing and maintenance with additional engineering aspects. This will include working on trailers, so we are ideally looking for a candidate whose knowledge base covers this.
The starting salary for this position is up to £39,459 p/a, and you would also get a £4,250 p/a car allowance plus the following benefits:

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
- A level 3 Automotive qualification (or time-served apprenticeship)
- Heavy Vehicle/Trailer maintenance experience
- Some prior experience in education/teaching/assessing
Please note that you do not need an Assessor award to apply for the role, as the training provider would be able to put you through one on the job.
This role will involve work with under 18's or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
