We are currently working with an education provider in the Derbyshire area who are looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Trainer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The position would consist of 39 hours of work per week, and would involve teaching and training highly motivated individuals in a globally recognised automotive manufacturing environment. You would provide training, mentoring, coaching and assessment for apprentices in workplace and college settings, ensuring competency in theoretical and practical skills up to Level 3 in current apprenticeship standards.

We are seeking candidates with a solid background in manufacturing engineering or mechatronics, combining technical expertise with teaching or training experience. The starting salary would be between £38,819 and £45,010 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), and you would also get a teacher's pension (with employer contributions of 28.68%) in addition to a holiday allocation of 42 days (plus 8 days for Bank Holidays).

  • A level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Experience of practical installation of electrical & mechanical systems
  • A teaching qualification OR assessor award

This role will involve work with under 18s or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
