Boston Rose are working with an independent school in Somerset to recruit a School Teacher on a full-time maternity cover contract for Key Stage 3. This role would suit a qualified teacher or someone with substantial teaching or tutoring experience who is passionate about inclusive education and making a genuine difference to young people's lives.
The Role
- Teach and support middle school pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Create a safe, structured and therapeutic learning environment
- Adapt teaching in line with EHCPs and support plans
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and families
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience
- Uphold safeguarding and contribute to the wider school community
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or significant teaching/tutoring experience
- Strong classroom practice and behaviour management skills
- Calm, reflective and adaptable approach
- Commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
- Experience working with SEN, SEMH or autism is desirable but not essential
