We are working with an education provider in the West Yorkshire area who are looking for a full-time and permanent Welding & Fabrication Tutor to join their team. The successful candidate would be based in the education provider's engineering department, and would be tasked with delivering workshop-based training to Welding & Fabrication learners, and also do some of their vocational assessments.
The starting salary for this position is between £33,000 and £43,000 per annum, which would also include a very generous teacher's pension (with 28.68% employer contributions), in-house training, and a holiday allowance of 42 days (including Bank Holidays).
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
- A level 3 Welding qualification
- Industry experience of Welding & Fabrication
Please note that the education provider could put you through (and pay for) your teaching qualification on the job, although they will need to start you on a slightly lower salary (capped at £36k in first year). However, new teachers would be eligible for a government subsidy of up to £6k per annum after 12 months in the role, which would last for five years.
This role will involve work with under 18's or vulnerable adults. Any appointment will be made subject to strict vetting and screening checks and receipt of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
