Under general supervision, monitors and adjusts the Surgical schedule to ensure timeliness of surgical cases in the operating room. Reviews and assembles patient charts. Greets patients, obtains patient information, and keeps them informed of any delays or cancellations.
Education: HS Diploma or GED
Experience: Two (2) years hospital experience preferably in an area dealing with surgical cases to be familiar with specialty procedures and classifications, various medical treatments, etc.
Skills:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills in order to be able to work effectively with patients, physicians and other parties within and outside the Medical Center.
- Skill in analysis and organization in order to be able to coordinate changes in O.R. schedules.
- Ability to work with computer systems in order to post and reschedule surgical cases.
Pay Range: $17.24 - $23.91. Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
