A leading global, top-tier law firm is seeking an exceptional Head of Pricing (Europe) to lead and shape its pricing and legal project management strategy across its European offices. This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished pricing leader to build and develop a best-in-class pricing and client value function within one of the world's most respected international law firms. The successful candidate will play a key strategic role in driving commercial excellence, profitability, and client value while influencing senior stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of the firm's European pricing and LPM strategy
- Provide strategic commercial advice on pricing, matter budgeting, profitability, and matter management
- Design and implement commercially viable fee arrangements, including alternative fee arrangements (AFAs)
- Advise partners on pricing strategy, budgeting, and project management for client pitches and RFPs
- Partner directly with clients to understand their commercial objectives and deliver value-driven pricing solutions
- Develop and review pricing models, matter budgets, profitability analyses, scenario models, staffing plans, work plans, and financial impact assessments
- Design and implement firm's Legal Project Management framework across Europe
- Lead the regional approach to matter budgeting, budget monitoring, scope management, and end-to-end matter lifecycle support
- Implement pricing and LPM governance appropriate for the European business
- Collaborate closely with Business Development, Finance, Rates, Billing, IT, and Practice Leadership teams to streamline pricing and matter management processes
- Develop pricing tools, templates, playbooks, dashboards, reporting, and knowledge resources to enhance consistency and efficiency
- Monitor legal market pricing trends, client procurement expectations, competitor activity, and developments in legal operations
- Evaluate the impact of AI on legal service delivery and pricing strategy
- Deliver training and coaching to partners, associates, and business services professionals on pricing and legal project management best practice
- Build, mentor, and develop the European pricing and legal project management team as the function continues to grow

You will be an experienced pricing professional with a strong track record of delivering strategic pricing solutions within a professional services environment, ideally within a leading international law firm. You will be commercially astute, highly analytical, and confident influencing senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
