Our client, a well established social housing organisation, is looking to appoint a Senior Development Finance Analyst to join its growing finance team. This is a high profile partnering position, offering the opportunity to provide commercial challenge, financial oversight and performance insight across a diverse development portfolio spanning affordable and market sale schemes. Reporting into senior finance leadership, the postholder will work closely with regional Development colleagues, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring that projects are financially robust, well governed and supported by clear, timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated finance partner to allocated regional Development teams
  • Provide expert guidance on all development related financial matters
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and insightful management information across your scheme portfolio
  • Attend and contribute to regular scheme review meetings, offering financial analysis and challenge
  • Support the preparation of financial appraisals, cash flow forecasts and viability modelling for new opportunities
  • Undertake financial due diligence on prospective acquisitions and input into approval documentation
  • Identify and evaluate financial and commercial risks, including scenario and sensitivity modelling
  • Oversee tax, treasury and control considerations across live schemes
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and regulatory requirements throughout the development lifecycle
  • Offer wider support to other regions and colleagues as needed

Key requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant or equivalent professional qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience within property development or housing finance, including appraisal and viability assessment
  • Demonstrable experience producing high quality management reporting
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships
