We are partnering with a leading housing organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join their high-performing procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of strategic sourcing and category management across a varied and high-impact portfolio.
Please note this is a 12-month contract initially and offers flexible working with 1-2 days a week in the London Office.
Key responsibilities:- Develop and deliver effective procurement and category strategies to ensure value for money
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and innovation
- Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Provide management information on category spend and procurement efficiencies
- Lead continuous improvement and ensure best practice procurement across the organisation
- Proven experience applying Public Contracts Regulations to end-to-end procurement
- Track record of delivering complex, high-value procurement solutions
- Experience in technology-related procurement and contract management
- Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
- CIPS qualification (or studying towards)
