Our client, one of London's leading specialist Universities, is looking for a permanent Management Accountant to start as soon as possible. They are regarded as a world class institution providing outstanding education to students across the globe via their comprehensive network of partnerships.
The overall purpose of the role is to work in partnership with Senior Stakeholders and the Executive Team to maintain and continually develop appropriate and relevant management information to strengthen the internal reporting of the University's financial position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end preparation of the faculty budgets
- Liaise with senior stakeholders to discuss variances and commentaries
- Support the efficient and effective delivery and presentation of management information
- Lead meetings to advise stakeholders on the financial position of their budgets and projects
- Prepare annual budgets, projections and year-end forecasting
- Design and implement local reports to meet specific requirements
- Educate and advise on correct procedures with regards the charging and recovery of VAT
- Provide in-depth support in relation to systems projects, upgrades and improvements
Qualifications:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Proven ability to liaise effectively with staff at all management and directorate levels
- Excellent working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting issues and techniques
- Strong IT skills including advanced Excel
