The bid and tender process sits at the heart of how Boston Energy wins and grows business. As our opportunity pipeline grows, we need to invest and plan for the future of that function. We are creating a new role: Contract & Tendering Coordinator. This is a genuine development opportunity for someone who wants to build a career in commercial and contracts management.

You will work directly alongside Colin, our experienced Contract and Tendering Manager, get hands-on exposure to live bids and negotiations, and start building the skills, judgement, and relationships that this line of work depends on. There will be a clear line of sight to greater responsibility as you grow in the role, with structured mentoring from Colin and our CCO, Stuart Davidson, as you take on more complex tenders and negotiation work.

Who Will This Role Suit?

This role will suit someone with drive, attention to detail, and strong stakeholder skills. No experience in tendering or contracts is necessary; what matters is your track record, curiosity, and appetite to learn a new discipline.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the preparation and coordination of tenders, proposals, and bids
  • Working with subject matter experts across the business to pull together accurate, compliant submissions
  • Helping maintain our tender and contract documentation, pricing templates, and bid library
  • Getting involved in risk analysis, Bid/No-Bid reviews, and pricing discussions
  • Learning the fundamentals of contract drafting, review, and negotiation
  • Building relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues across the business
  • Helping monitor and maintain customer tender portals, keeping opportunities accurate and up to date
  • Helping prepare handover documentation for Operations, capturing key risks, mitigations, and sign-offs
  • Tracking tender performance data and supporting reporting on trends and outcomes

What We're Looking For

  • A strong track record in your career to date and a reputation for accuracy and reliability
  • Excellent organisational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities at once
  • Confident written and verbal communication
  • A genuine interest in commercial, contracts, or bid work - or a willingness to develop one
  • Someone who works well with people at all levels and isn't afraid to ask questions

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of building the future of our commercial team from within the business.
