As the Center for Digital Government Senior Manager within BCG’s Public Sector Practice Area (PA), you will work closely with the Topic Leader, the Public Sector Leadership team, Regional Leadership teams, Vantage teams, case teams, and other practice area management teams to develop and execute the CDG strategy. The role will be an integral and influential contributor to the development and growth of Center for Digital Government (CDG), focusing on launching the first wave of commercial campaigns with partners, accelerating go-to-market initiatives, and building the people strategy. This role will require a person experienced in driving consistent strategy execution and managing across many different roles within BCG.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- CDG strategy: Support the Topic Leader in end-to-end development and execution of the strategy and annual plans. Translate the strategy into concrete initiatives and drive and track implementation with stakeholders. Identify, conceptualize, and drive focus initiatives and business priorities of the topic.
- Business development: Identify new business opportunities and drive business development activities, including identifying critical new IP and competitive intelligence and monitoring lead flow, proposal pipeline and sold cases.
- Reporting and budgeting: Own and monitor the budget in coordination with global practice. Analyze and report on the business performance and budget utilization throughout the year.
- People: Develop people plan and facilitate implementation of CDG’s people priorities, working closely with HR across the various regions. Build the people strategy, including an affiliation agenda. Lead townhalls, affiliation newsletters, and other internal communication campaigns to disseminate information and drive affiliation.
- Affiliation and internal communication: Identify and manage list of affiliates across BCG cohorts. Set agendas for and lead organization of global and regional meetings and calls and prepare key presentations. Manage internal communication (including distributional lists, newsletters etc.).
- External marketing: Contribute to planning and organization of client events, thought leadership and SATT in coordination with the Practice’s marketing team. Own the content on BCG.com and be the liaison to industry platforms and associations that the PA partners with.

- Working closely with the Vantage Team to align regional and sector priorities; exchange on content and client activities and help drive broader KT network and product/service portfolio, supporting knowledge management and knowledge curation.
- Executing budget monitoring; managing the advancement and commercialization of the sector, supporting road shows or client events where necessary; tracking impact.
- Leading others, including senior business leaders in clarifying problems and developing solutions by building cross-sector partnerships - building consensus, persuading and influencing.
- Motivating others to deliver highest standards, providing direction, mentoring and coaching.
- Supporting business development initiatives, including priority proposals and selling materials, in partnership with ECT and KT team.
What You’ll Bring:
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Role related certifications preferred.
- Ability to manage and drive area of accountabilities, contributing to higher level agenda setting.
- Ability to lead more complex, broader sub-functional teams or projects fully independently and provide direction to others.
- Ability to resolve complex issues and non-defined problems autonomously, with full business acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills, credibility.
- Ability to influence senior members of the sector and beyond.
- Ability to respect sensitive client, BCG, and people related information as personal and confidential.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
You will work with the Sector Leader, Regional Practice Area Leaders and their leadership teams when setting the strategic agenda and driving implementation. For additional tasks, you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector Managers, HR, Marketing, and Knowledge Teams within the PA. Further interfaces exist with other Regional Managers as well as global and regional BCG functions and teams as needed.
