As an EMESA Talent Acquisition Manager allocated to the Africa System, you will lead search and sourcing delivery covering multiple offices, stakeholders, markets, and ways of working. You will be responsible for managing hiring delivery and sourcing effectiveness across the Africa system, including Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Casablanca and Cairo. The role requires strong operational discipline, strategic sourcing capability, and the ability to build strong partnerships across local teams, priorities, market conditions, and stakeholder groups.
You will act as a trusted partner to Africa stakeholders, ensuring strong pipeline quality, effective slot coverage, and successful hiring outcomes. You will also contribute to broader EMESA sourcing priorities and may support offices, systems or practice areas outside Africa depending on business needs, team capacity, and regional priorities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end search delivery and system ownership for Africa, ensuring strong execution across assigned searches, high-quality pipelines, effective slot coverage, and successful hiring outcomes.
- Lead recruitment activities across multiple Africa offices adapting ways of working to different local market dynamics, stakeholder expectations, recruiting processes, and offices priorities across Lagos, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Casablanca, and Cairo.
- Drive sourcing excellence and continuous improvement, including market mapping, proactive sourcing, long-term pipeline building, candidate engagement, conversion improvement, and diversity-focused sourcing strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to local stakeholders, building strong relationships with MDPs, local recruiting teams, PA leaders, and People teams, while influencing decisions on pipeline risks, trade-offs, prioritization, and market approach.
- Translate Africa market insight into practical sourcing strategies, recognizing that talent pools, candidate behavior, brand awareness, and hiring dynamics differ significantly by market and office.
- Deliver against hiring targets and performance metrics, including offers, pipeline health, conversion rates, acceptance rates, diversity balance, candidate quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Leverage data and analytics to drive decisions, ensure accurate reporting, identify risks and opportunities, forecasting performance, and providing clear recommendations to improve outcomes.
- Shape sourcing strategy for assigned Practice Areas, acting as a Subject Matter Expert where relevant, translating PA needs into sourcing priorities, influencing resource allocation, and applying market intelligence.
- Drive continuous improvement across sourcing and search delivery, improving processes, frameworks, reporting, candidate tracking, stakeholder updates, and overall sourcing efficiency.
- Manage and contribute to strategic projects, including Africa-specific sourcing initiatives, process improvements, diversity pipeline efforts, cross-system projects, and broader EMESA priorities.
- Coach and develop junior team members, providing guidance on sourcing strategies, stakeholder management, systems usage, reporting, best practices, and onboarding.
- Support broader regional needs where required, including potential support for other EMESA offices, systems, or Practice Areas depending on team capacity, business priorities, and demand.
- Continuously build personal capabilities, particularly in analytics, sourcing innovation, influencing, strategic thinking, and operating in complex stakeholder environments.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- 6+ years of talent acquisition, recruiting, or sourcing experience, ideally in a complex, multi-market environment.
- Strong experience leading sourcing delivery and managing complex searches, preferably within EMESA; experience working with or hiring for Africa markets is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple offices, stakeholders, geographies, and ways of working, with the judgment to adapt approach by market and local context.
- Strong sourcing expertise, including direct sourcing, market mapping, candidate engagement, pipeline development, conversion improvement, and diversity sourcing.
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, including the ability to advise senior stakeholders, manage trade-offs, and bring clarity in complex or ambiguous situations.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using pipeline metrics, sourcing analytics, and reporting to identify risks, improve performance, and guide decision-making.
- Ability to translate market insights and data into practical sourcing strategies and clear stakeholder recommendations.
- Strong project execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple searches, priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to provide clear, structured updates and influence across local, regional, and PA teams.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing junior team members.
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on innovation, efficiency, process improvement, and sourcing effectiveness.
- Fluent in English. Additional language skills relevant to Africa markets, such as French, would be advantageous but are not required.
