What You'll Do
The Cross Border Working (CBW) Senior Specialist is a key operational and advisory role within BCG's LAB Mobility & Immigration team. The role delivers cross border compliance activity for LAB, working closely with BCG's immigration vendor network, and internal teams and stakeholders at all levels. The Senior Specialist ensures that compliance processes are robust, accurate, and applied consistently. This is a role that combines technical knowledge with strong communication skills and a collaborative problem-solving approach. The ability to explain complex cross border rules clearly, and to work constructively with colleagues, case teams, and vendors to find practical solutions, is as important as technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take accountability for ensuring processes are fit for purpose, consistently applied, and kept up to date with policy and regulatory changes.
- Guide and collaborate with the shared services team who provide administration support.
- Conduct assessments to determine when Posted Worker notification obligations apply and manage the notification process in line with local requirements (WagEU / LIMOSA).
- Act as BCG's point of contact for government agency queries and requests for information relating to Posted Worker compliance in NL and BE.
- Review requests relating to LAB based employees and manage approvals in line with BCG requirements.
- Manage the immigration compliance process for travellers LAB linked, ensuring timely and accurate application submissions for work permit and business visit visas.
- Review casework with BCG's immigration vendor, holding them to account for quality of advice, casework management, and responsiveness.
- Track work permit initiations and ongoing work permit compliance obligations, resolving technical queries or escalating appropriately.
- Support the CBW Manager with the identification of cases requiring compliance assessment and further review.
- Prepare comprehensive risk summaries for alignment with the CBW Manager for delivery to case team leadership.
- Manage the LABCBW mailbox, responding to queries promptly or routing to the correct team for further support.

- A track record of building trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with collaboration tools preferred.
