The C&S PA is seeking a Temporary Practice Area Senior Manager to provide temporary coverage for its Impact Investment and Seat at the Table (SATT) Partnerships portfolio. This role is critical to ensure seamless continuity of our SATT strategy, presence at key SATT events (NY Climate Week first and foremost), partnership management, internal coordination, and leadership engagement during the leave period.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with our Global C&S Vice Chair, Global PA Marketing Director, SATT CCOs, and cross-functional teams across People, Finance/Investments, KMS, Marketing, and the C&S leadership community. The successful candidate will step into an established portfolio and will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, sustaining momentum on key initiatives, and supporting senior leaders across the SATT ecosystem. They will also lead the project management and coordination of BCG’s co-hosted events at New York Climate Week (NYCW), which takes place in September and for the past two years has brought together 1700+ clients at 60+ BCG co-hosted events in recent years.
Thus, the role requires strong project leadership, stakeholder management, communication excellence, and a deep interest in climate and sustainability. Specific responsibilities include:
- BCG Events Coordination at NYCW
- Collect input from C&S topic and IPA leaders, as well as SATT CCOs, on planned events and prioritize needs across the portfolio.
- In collaboration with NY Office Concierge team, coordinate event space reservations in the New York office based on organizer preferences, timing requirements, and capacity considerations.
- Communicate all steps of the event planning process to event organizers, ensuring clarity on timelines, tasks, and dependencies.
- Track progress and completion of key planning tasks, following up proactively to ensure successful execution and alignment across stakeholders.
- Oversee invitation management for all relevant events, including tracking invite lists, ensuring no conflicts or duplications, and confirming proper registration and access requirements for in-person attendees.
- Support synthesis and documentation of event outputs for internal sharing and amplification where relevant.
- Partnership Portfolio and Investment Management
- Maintain oversight of the full SATT partnership portfolio, ensuring smooth operations, clear communication, and continuity of workstreams.
- Support the assessment of new partnership opportunities and investment requests across C&S topics.
- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for SATT CCOs and adjacent teams, providing guidance, coordination, and expert input.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Investment Team to track and manage SATT B-code investments, including maintaining dashboards and monitoring budgets.
- Strategic Support & Thought Partnership
- Act as a strategic partner to SATT leadership, providing structured input on portfolio evolution, scaling opportunities, and impactful engagement models.
- Prepare materials and insights for senior forums (e.g., C&S LT, WWOM, EC/OC) to keep leadership aligned on progress, learnings, and forward direction.
- Support creation of leadership talking points, briefings, and communications linked to SATT activities and climate impact narratives.
Managing ambiguity with a high level of comfort. Self-starting with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial drive to work autonomously and in a multinational team. Earning the respect of a very senior cohort, all Managing Directors, that are remotely located, juggling the various priorities and viewpoints of the Leadership Team members, showing influence to compile inputs and opinions from the Leadership Team members, while still meeting demanding deadlines. Operating effectively in a matrix organization with the ability to prioritize and make decisions. Complex project management with the ability to multi-task and drive advanced strategic analysis (beyond data) and leverage results for impact. Strong project management skills and attention to detail (Prior large event coordination skills is a plus, but not necessary). Leading others including senior business leaders in clarifying problems and developing solutions by building cross-PA partnerships - building consensus, persuading and influencing. Outstanding stakeholder management, with the ability to work across leadership levels and functions. Motivating others to deliver highest standards, providing direction, mentoring and coaching.

Who You’ll Work With
You will work closely with the Practice Area Leaders and their leadership teams when setting the strategic agenda and driving implementation. For additional tasks, you will collaborate with the Practice Area Coordinators, Sector / Topic Managers, HR and Marketing within the PA. Further interfaces exist with other Regional Managers as well as global and regional BCG functions and teams as needed.
