Overview
Senior Manager – BCG Vantage on our Topic Activation path within BCG\’s Health Care Practice Area. You will deliver against the client and commercial priorities for the Med Tech business in EU and AP. You will engage with case teams and clients to provide knowledge assets, analysis, and expert advisory based on your expertise. You will act as a thought partner and context expert to case teams and topic leaders, helping structure and solve complex issues. You will drive development of intellectual property and knowledge assets to support the Med Tech sector. You will line manage a team of junior colleagues, responsible for goal setting, ongoing feedback, and career development, and for the team’s performance across KPIs (case billability, quality, content creation, etc.). The Med Tech team at BCG brings deep industry expertise across IVD, Life Science Tools, Medical Equipment, Devices, and Supplies and supports topics such as corporate strategy, M&A, go-to-market and commercial excellence, innovation, operational performance, and digital transformation.
Responsibilities
- Lead problem solving and solutioning for clients, driving pragmatic, context‑led outcomes.
- Develop and commercialize knowledge and assets across Med Tech topics.
- Engage and communicate with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility.
- Lead projects to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact, mobilizing the team as needed.
- Coach and mentor team members to help them achieve goals efficiently and effectively.
- Navigate a dynamic, ambiguous, fast‑paced environment while maintaining delivery quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of consulting experience in Med Tech (candidates with consulting experience preferred).
- In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years of Med Tech industry experience required; 10–12+ years strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (advanced degree preferred).
- Fluency in English (required); German language skills preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders in a global, collaborative environment.

- Strong knowledge of the Med Tech landscape, market dynamics, and evolving trends.
- Understanding of at least one high‑priority Med Tech segment (e.g., Cardiovascular, Dental, Diagnostic Imaging, Endoscopy, Ophthalmics, Orthopedics, Surgery).
- Ability to translate insights into strategic recommendations for commercial execution and growth, supporting go‑to‑market priorities.
- Experience in synthesizing insights from multiple data sources to develop business recommendations.
Work Context
