Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture opportunities. BCG was a pioneer in business strategy when founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation—driving complex change, enabling growth, building competitive advantage, and delivering bottom-line impact. We blend digital and human capabilities with diverse, global teams that bring deep industry and functional expertise to spark change. Our collaborative model spans the firm and client organizations to generate results that enable clients to thrive.

A key priority for BCG and our Operational Innovations team is to accelerate and support both digital and operational transformation and innovation within our firm. The team focuses on improving the performance of internal functions by providing program management and executional support to major initiatives; change management and transformation communications; and enablement and activation on the ground. We also provide expertise on management themes such as digital, agile, lean, change management, and stakeholder management. The focus is to enable step-change improvement in effectiveness and efficiency of the firm by accelerating high-priority initiatives sponsored by the Operations Leadership Team and/or the Operating Committee.

The group works with senior leaders of individual functions and geographies to define and prioritize improvement initiatives, manage the project portfolio, accelerate analytics and redesign processes when required, assist project owners to drive change, and oversee the development of measurement and monitoring tools that define progress and value delivered. The team includes change and communications experts to drive effective change management and stakeholder engagement for high-profile and complex internal change efforts.

As a member of the OI team, you will work alongside functional project owners and OI teammates to drive BCG's change agenda, deepen your understanding of complex business problems, and develop new skills to support you at every stage of your career—at BCG and beyond. In this role you will be dedicated to supporting individual projects, responsible for generating output in Excel and PowerPoint. This role is critical in delivering and accelerating change in our internal functions, so a service-minded and collaborative approach is essential.

We expect all team members to participate in reinforcing an OI culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and analytical insight, and to support one another and our internal clients with care and professionalism.

Key Activities And Responsibilities Include:

  • In partnership with initiative owners and OI Project Managers, provide content support, research, analyses, or documentation to support project management and accelerate various functional or geographic improvement initiatives. Projects emphasize operational improvements and often digital delivery of improvements, digital collaboration, and/or digital employee services.
  • Support development of deliverables, ensuring maximum value delivery. Deliverables could include business improvement plans, process design, engagement and communication plans, implementation plans, or supporting analyses. Analysts should distill key insights into presentation formats.
  • Collaborate with line owners and OI team members to identify potential investments and process improvements to accelerate BCG's digital and operational development. Define end-state processes and organizational models and the path to achieve them.
  • Work with Program Managers and Change Managers/Leads to support on-the-ground implementation of change initiatives, including enabling impacted users, embedding behavioral change, and performing change impact analysis.
  • Translate project objectives and change needs into concrete employee communications and engagement campaigns using a range of channels and media.
  • Track project success and progress with project managers to ensure on-time delivery within budget and achievement of objectives and KPIs.
  • Support development of senior management reporting and broader communications with related analyses and supporting documentation.

You’re Good At:

  • Organizing and managing project details with a bias for rapid, high-quality output; flexible and organized across activities and stakeholders.
  • Working in a complex, fast-paced environment; analytical and capable of handling multiple high-impact, time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Data analysis – qualitative and quantitative evaluation to draw insights and shape plans and business cases.
  • Stakeholder engagement – able to listen, translate needs, and influence in a matrix organization.
  • Structuring and analyzing information; turning ideas into useful deliverables with strong attention to detail.
  • Culture and collaboration – commitment to colleagues' experience and to BCG's purpose.
  • Learning and adapting – curiosity, openness to feedback, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring:

  • University degree or equivalent – ideally in a business-related subject.
  • Experience in a multinational or large-scale environment.
  • Data analysis – ability to communicate key insights effectively.
  • Curiosity and focus on continuous development and learning.
  • Creativity and openness to new approaches, digital tools, and agile methodologies.
  • Project and program management a plus.

Who You’ll Work With:

  • The OI Leadership Team and OI teammates, especially project managers and change managers.
  • Internal clients/stakeholders to develop communications for project and stakeholder change objectives.
  • External associates – BCG-approved contingent resources when appropriate.
