What You’ll Do

The Global Product Director – Productivity Tools leads the strategy, vision, and delivery of BCG’s global Productivity Tools portfolio.

This portfolio supports some of the firm’s most widely used applications - including Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel, One Note, Adobe products, and productivity add‑ins such as think‑cell and Efficient Elements, across Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms.

You will ensure these products remain secure, modern, reliable, and intuitive, enabling thousands of BCGers to work more effectively every day.

  • Define and own the long‑term product vision, strategy, and multi‑year roadmap for BCG’s global Productivity Tools portfolio, ensuring alignment with priorities and evolving business needs.
  • Develop and communicate a clear product strategy that balances user experience, innovation, operational resilience, security, technical sustainability, and business value across a portfolio of 20+ global products.
  • Lead the evolution of productivity products across Windows, Mac, and mobile platforms, balancing strategic investment with operational stability and continuous improvement.
  • Champion a customer‑centric product culture by engaging regularly with consultants, business functions, leadership, and support teams to understand user needs, validate assumptions, gather feedback, and translate insights into a prioritized product backlog and roadmap.
  • Drive improvements to user experience, product performance, reliability, and adoption through data‑informed product decisions, user research, telemetry, operational analytics, and customer insights.
  • Establish product success measures and use product health metrics, operational KPIs, customer satisfaction, and usage analytics to continuously evaluate outcomes, prioritize investments, and shape future strategy.
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, UX, Security, Platform Engineering, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and high‑quality product capabilities.
  • Champion automation across product lifecycle management, software governance, license optimization, deployment, operational processes, and AI‑enabled capabilities to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance the user experience.
  • Lead product lifecycle activities including product updates, release management, vendor engagement, compatibility planning, platform modernization, and strategic technology adoption.
  • Provide product leadership for a multidisciplinary squad of approximately 10 professionals while directly managing a Product Analyst, fostering collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous development across the team.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) leading the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of enterprise software products or digital workplace platforms in a complex global environment.
  • Proven ability to define product vision, translate business and customer needs into strategic roadmaps, and deliver measurable outcomes through cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong product management expertise with a customer‑centric mindset, using user research, analytics, telemetry, and feedback to shape product direction and investment decisions.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary product teams and influencing engineering, architecture, security, UX, and business stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Experience managing large‑scale Saa S or productivity platforms, ideally including Microsoft 365, Adobe technologies, or comparable enterprise productivity ecosystems.
  • Strong commercial and technical judgment, with the ability to balance innovation, operational excellence, platform sustainability, security, and user experience.
  • Excellent communication and executive stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions, build alignment, and lead change across a global organization.

, working within a global product organization responsible for delivering the digital workplace experiences that enable BCGers to do their best work every day.

You will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Chapter Leads, Architects, UX designers, Platform and Operations Engineers, the Change and Communications team, Security, Enterprise Architecture, and support teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑performing productivity solutions.

You’ll also collaborate extensively with Microsoft, Adobe, and other strategic technology partners, as well as business stakeholders across BCG’s global offices.

Regular engagement with consultants, business functions, and leadership teams will be central to understanding evolving user needs, validating product direction, and ensuring the Productivity Tools portfolio continues to deliver measurable value across the firm.
