What You'll Do

You are joining BCG's Product Agility and Delivery Center of Excellence (CoE), an 80‐person global strategic capability center and critical business partner of BCG's internal Digital Product Organization (DPO). This team is comprised of business and product delivery experts with specialization in Agile, Product Management, Product Delivery, Org Optimization and AI Innovation. The team is responsible for driving high‐performance delivery of product, project and experience leveraging our expertise.

This Agile Senior Delivery Manager role, internally referred to as Global Senior Manager - Scrum Lead, is a critical and central part of our product teams. In this role, you are responsible for partnering with product leadership, organizing and managing the team's way of working, planning and managing the team's releases, and continuously optimizing the team's performance by managing key performance indicators.

In This Role, You Will

  • Drive End-to-End Product Delivery: Oversee the delivery of product increments from planning to release.
  • Ensure timely and high‐quality delivery of initiatives, epics, features in alignment with the product roadmap.
  • Facilitate, govern and guide planning sessions and workshops for product discovery or initiation.
  • Support Product Teams in prioritization and estimations of product features through various techniques like RICE, KANO, etc.
  • Manage dependencies across squads to ensure smooth and timely progress on product deliverables.
  • Facilitate Release Planning and Management: Work with Product Owners and chapter leads to plan and execute product releases.
  • Improve agility in processes and tools to reduce time to market and enable faster deployments to production.
  • Ensure frequent releases to gather customer feedback and iterate based on insights.
  • Facilitate Risk Management: Identify risks that may impact product delivery and mitigate them proactively.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track key metrics and OKRs such as velocity, lead time, cycle time and predictability to evaluate squad performance.
  • Coach on Agile Processes: Guide teams in adopting Agile practices like Scrum, Kanban or a hybrid approach tailored to the product development context.
  • Support Team Enablement: Foster a collaborative environment: build a psychologically safe space for team members to communicate openly and take ownership of their work.
  • Partner with Product Owners: Ensure delivery aligns with the product vision and business strategy.

YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO

  • Identify and solve difficult and complex problems in ambiguous settings.
  • Deliver complex outcomes and support achievement of objectives and key results.
  • Proactively advise, facilitate, and coach your squads.
  • Develop creative solutions to address challenges facing squads.
  • Act as a key resource for squads' leadership in clarifying complex problems and developing customer and employee‐centric solutions.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum, computer science, technology, design or a relevant field (advanced degree and/or higher education preferred).
  • 5‐10+ years of client‐facing management consulting experience – big 4 consulting preferred.
  • 5‐10+ years of project or program management experience – expertise in all methodologies preferred (Agile experience required).
  • 5‐10+ years' relevant Agile role experience (e.g., Scrum Lead, Agile Coach, Product Owner, Mentor) in 1 or more organizations that includes delivery management experience.
  • Agile Certifications (preferred): PSM II (Scrum.org), CSM (Scrum alliance), SAFe RTE / SAFe Scrum Master / SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (Scaled Agile).
  • Deep expertise and experience applying agile software delivery, the path to production and other operational aspects.
  • Exceptional communications and stakeholder management skills – able to engage, communicate professionally and influence Directors and Senior Directors.

  • Product Owner and Product Analysts, who drive the Product vision and roadmap, working directly with customers and stakeholders.
  • Other Agile Delivery Leaders filling roles of Scrum Lead, Agile Coach and Enterprise Coaches.
  • Portfolio Product Leaders – who are Senior Product Leadership accountable to setting the digital product strategy and roadmap across their product family.
  • Technical Area Leads and Product Tech Chapter Leads who are responsible for the strategic architecture, solution and applying the global BCG platform standards across products and engineering.
