What You'll Do

As a Senior Analyst - BCG Vantage focused on Airline Commercial & Operations, you will bring deep, hands-on expertise from your own background in the airline or airport industry - whether that's network planning, commercial (loyalty, customer experience, marketing), airport operations, ground handling, flight operations, or station management - and use it to help case teams ground their recommendations in how the industry actually works, not just how it's designed to work on paper.

  • Act as a thought partner to case teams and sector/topic leaders, supporting proposal efforts, client engagements, IP development, and tool design.
  • Bring your specific expertise to case teams, helping them understand how things really work in your part of the airline or airport business.
  • Spot gaps in BCG's aviation knowledge, tools, and materials, and help fill them by creating new analyses, frameworks, tools, and slide decks.
  • Flag when a strategic recommendation looks good on paper but wouldn't hold up in practice, based on your own experience.
  • Work with consulting teams to turn your knowledge into clear, practical strategic recommendations.
  • Build and improve reusable tools, including GenAI-enabled solutions, that case teams can use across engagements.
  • Create clear, executive-ready materials (slides, benchmarks, playbooks) for senior airline and consulting leaders.
  • Join airline and airport client meetings and working sessions to bring your expertise to live discussions.

YOU'RE GOOD AT

  • Explaining how things really work in your part of the industry, not just how they're supposed to work.
  • Spotting where a recommendation will run into real-world friction.
  • Translating your own experience into insight that's useful to people who haven't worked in your part of the industry.
  • Working hands-on with people and real business problems, not just data and models.
  • Collaborating across global teams in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.

What You'll Bring

  • 3-6+ years of direct hands-on experience in the airline or airport industry, ideally in a role where you had to make real decisions or solve real problems.
  • Familiarity with the tools and systems relevant to your specific background (e.g., network planning platforms like NetLine/Plan or Sabre AirVision; loyalty/CRM systems; airport operations or capex management systems; flight planning or scheduling tools). Direct hands-on usage strongly preferred.
  • Strong, first-hand understanding of how your part of the airline or airport business actually works such as its economics, constraints, and trade-offs.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required if offset by strong, demonstrable industry experience.
  • Interest in applying analytics and GenAI to your area of expertise.
  • Comfort operating in a consulting environment, including owning slide creation and executive messaging for senior stakeholders based on detailed analytical work.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
